Reflexology in Christchurch, Dorset

Reflexology

Reflexology is a holistic, complementary health therapy. It is a gentle therapy that encourages the body to balance and heal itself.

Evidence suggests that healing the body through foot therapy is an ancient art that has been practised for centuries, by many cultures around the world.

Reflexes on the feet mirror different parts of the body, for example, the organs, glands and the skeleton, as well as a person's emotional health.

Gentle massage techniques are used on these points to encourage:

- A state of deep relaxation.
- The body’s own healing processes.
- The body to work naturally to restore its own healthy balance.
- Healthy circulation.
- Clearance of energy blockages.

Because reflexology is a holistic therapy it takes the whole person into account, body, mind and soul. That is why I love it so much!

Who can receive a reflexology treatment?
Anyone of any age. However, there may be times in your life when it may not be suitable to provide treatment. The best advice I can give you is to contact me and ask.

How many treatments will I need?
There is no set number, we are all different. Depending on your reason for treatment I may recommend a number of regular sessions to help alleviate your symptoms but it is of course up to you.

What can reflexology help with?
I have worked with many individuals, all with their own individual reasons for seeking reflexology. I have worked with clients with many conditions, including : stress and anxiety, fibromyalgia, insomnia, low mood, imbalanced hormones, chronic pain, digestive problems, poor circulation.

Reflexology is a complementary therapy and can therefore work alongside conventional medicine. However, it is always a good idea to consult with your GP if you are currently receiving medical care.
